Michy Batshuayi reported to UEFA that he was on the end of racist chanting during Borussia Dortmund's match with Atalanta in the Europa League and in typically brilliant Batshuayi fashion he won't be silenced just because UEFA won't do anything about it.

We love Michy Batshuayi. He's a striker who is as dangerous as anyone else upfront on his day, as he's currently proving with his stint at Borussia Dortmund, but more than that he's a right good character on social media.

Check out our video on Gary Lineker's best tweets:

Usually the Chelsea loanee is having a laugh at himself, a colleague, a fan or telling EA Sports to give him a better rating on FIFA 18 but today he's used Twitter to good effect in complaining about UEFA's latest actions.

After February's game between Dortmund and Atalanta in the Europa League in Italy Batshuayi tweeted saying, "2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands ... really?!"

The European footballing body originally opened an investigation against the Serie A club but today they announced that they had decided "to close the disciplinary proceedings opened for racist or discriminatory behavior"

Unsurprisingly, and correctly, this didn't go down too well with the player who took to social media once again to show his displeasure at the decision:

It's annoyingly unsurprising that UEFA have failed to deal with the issue with theirs and FIFA's history of dealing properly with racist abuse from fans far from meeting the standards you'd expect.

In a typically UEFA twist of fate both clubs were actually fined for the tie because of fireworks and other problems with the crowd, although not racism, and Dortmund actually received a bigger fine

Hopefully Batshuayi can at some point be allowed to get back to just tweeting banter but we fully back him to fight the good fight on social media, it's just a shame it's still needed in this day and age!
