Jurgen Klopp fielded his big guns as Liverpool faced Bayern Munich with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and his pace merchants Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all starting.
And it was the pair of wingers who wrecked havoc in particular Mane. The Senegalese international scored a brilliant first goal then turned provider as he played a part in Salah's goal which doubled Liverpool's advantage.
While Sturridge's effort sent social media into overdrive, the Liverpool faithfuls were also talking about Mane and Salah working in tandem.

Mane joined Liverpool last summer, and enjoyed a wonderful start to life at Anfield. But with the addition of Salah from AS Roma, Mane is prepared to play in another position to accommodate himself.
"I am able to play every forward position," Mane told the clubs official website.
"
I don't have a problem with that. I have played left wing, right wing and striker - it's no problem for me," he added.
The Egyptian winger showed a glimpse of his terrifying speed during Liverpool's pre-season tour of Asia.
And Mane reaffirmed his blistering pace by revealing he's the quicker between the two and everyone else on the pitch.

"Everybody has seen how he's (Salah) quicker than everyone on the pitch."
"He's a nice lad and a great player," he continued to add.
Liverpool fans will be hoping for more of the same once the season officially kicks off.
