Premier League Ones To Watch Gameweek 37

The penultimate weekend.

The fairy tale has now become a reality, Leicester City Football Club are the champions of England. After Chelsea came from two goals down to draw against Tottenham in a frantic London derby, Leicester were mathematically confirmed as champions.

This is without question one of the greatest achievements in sporting history. From being a relegation threatened side to champions of the country is simply remarkable, in fact, words don't quite do it justice. However, with the title race done and dusted, eyes turn to the battle for Champions League football and the dreaded drop. In what is your penultimate week of Premier League football, here are your Ones to Watch;

Fixture to Watch

Manchester City vs. Arsenal

Manchester City find themselves in the thick of a top four battle, after last weekend's defeat to Southampton, their two remaining games are effectively must-wins. One of those games happens to be this Sunday's match against Arsenal, who will be disappointed that the title race has reached its conclusion.

On one hand, this could be considered a good fixture for City, as The Gunners have all but confirmed their top four status and don't have a great deal to play for. On the other, Arsenal are under pressure from their supporters to finish the season strongly and there's still a chance, (whisper it), that Arsenal could overtake Tottenham.

Man City vs Arsenal always tends to be a good watch, hopefully this weekend will be no different.

Prediction: 1-3

Players to Watch

Andros Townsend

Signed in January to keep Newcastle in the Premier League, Townsend has been a revelation for 'The Toon'. Having scored four league goals in his 11 appearances for his new club, it's safe to say the former Spurs man is doing his best to keep Newcastle up.

His latest goal was a spectacular free kick against Crystal Palace, which was enough to secure a vital three points for Rafa Bentiez' boys. The Geordie faithful will be hoping Townsend can maintain his form until the end of the season, starting with their next game against already relegated Aston Villa.

Eden Hazard

This season's forgotten man has reminded us all in recent weeks why he was tipped as a future Ballon d'Or winner. After his first two Premier League goals of the season came against Bournemouth last week, The Belgian international followed that up with an outstanding display against Tottenham on Monday night.

Hazard's second half introduction completely changed the game, and he was responsible for Chelsea's equaliser too, scoring an absolute beauty. Next up for Chelsea is a trip to Sunderland who are still very much in with a chance of survival; will Hazard be the difference again?

Mark Noble

The West Ham skipper has been in sparking form these last few weeks, finding himself on the score sheet against the likes of Norwich and West Brom. Noble isn't a player renowned for his goal scoring, but after admitting that manager Slaven Bilic has given him licence to play further forward, he'll be expected to chip in a fair bit more.

There has even been talk of Noble making the England squad for the Euros, with that being the case, surely Noble will want to keep his good form going. West Ham host Swansea on Saturday, with top four still not out of the question, the stage is set for Noble to deliver another captain's performance.
