In his first season at Old Trafford Jose Mourinho won the EFL Cup and the Europa League, of course he would also mention the Community Shield, but there's a lot to improve on. Now he's named one player he's most looking forward to seeing get better.

If last weekend is anything to go by, and it literally isn't, then Manchester United fans can expect that the league campaign will definitely be better for them than last season.

The Premier League wasn't a happy hunting ground for the Red Devils last season as they drew 15 of their games and struggled to score enough goals to beat the teams that they would normally expect to pick three points up against.

Their match against West Ham in the opening game of the season suggested that things would be better and some started to believe that Mourinho's second season success might repeat itself again.

Jose obviously won't rest on his laurels and he won't expect his players to either and the former Chelsea boss admitted there is one player he's looking forward to seeing improve. Talking about Anthony Marital ahead of the Swansea game Jose said:

"I have faith in Anthony. He is one of the players I believe is going to have a better season this season than the previous season.

"I look at some of my players and I am sure that some players are going to be better. Anthony is that for sure."

Martial suffered from second season syndrome last term and there has been rumours that he could be leaving Old Trafford this summer, especially with United heavily linked with Ivan Perisic.

However Jose denied the approach for the Inter winger was to replace the Frenchman adding, "Probably the player I was looking at was not a pure winger because I have pure wingers. "Probably the player that I was looking for is a player that allows me to play with three at the back and play wing backs."

The former Monaco forward has started both of United's opening games from the bench this season but came on against West Ham, scored United's third and set up the fourth.
