Forget Valentine's Day, 14 February Is A Lovely Night Of Football

It promises to be a cracking night of football.

Valentine's day might just have to be postponed for some lads and lasses this year, because it happens to fall on a Wednesday when there's two big Champions League ties.

Following on from today's tasty round of 16 draw, details of the dates of fixtures for games have been released.

On the February 14, not only are Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool travelling to Portugal to play Primeira League leaders Porto in what promises to be a very entertaining encounter - especially with the attacking quartet Liverpool possess, there's the small matter of Real Madrid taking on Paris Saint-Germain at the Bernabeu.

Back-to-back winners Real, who won the trophy last year courtesy of a 4-1 win over Juventus in Cardiff in the final, finished second to Tottenham in their Champions League group.

PSG, meanwhile, topped their group on goal difference, having accrued 15 points, scored 25 goals and conceded four.

With the talented trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani tearing it up on a regular basis, Unai Emery's side are one of the favourites to go all the way - but holders Real, despite their dip in performance levels this term, are still right in contention of winning a third Champions League on the trot.

And so with two of Europe's big guns locking horns for the first time since 2015, as well as Porto-Liverpool, it promises to be a cracking night of football. Unfortunately, with two unmissable games on, it seems like some other halves will be left disappointed on the day where romance matters most.

If you're a football fan (which we you must be to click on this article), and you're in a relationship, it's looking like you'll have a bit of dilemma on your hands when 14 Feb rolls around!

After all, nothing says "I love you" like a bit of Champions League football...
