Francesco Camarda wanted by Premier League club after scoring over 500 goals at youth level

A number of top European clubs, including Premier League champions Manchester City, are interested in signing AC Milan wonderkid Francesco Camarda, according to reports.

The highly-rated 15-year-old forward has been dubbed the future of Italian football after scoring over 500 goals at youth level for the Rossoneri.

He's already broken various records this season. A goal for Milan U19's in their clash against Sassuolo earlier this month was the first scored by a 2008-born player in the entire Primavera.

And a week later, Camarda notched a brace and an assist in his first ever appearance in the UEFA Youth League – an empathic 4-0 win over Newcastle United.

As a result, he became the youngest Italian to have scored in the Youth League at 15 years and 195 days. In fact, he's become the youngest player in history to score in all three major Under-19 tournaments.

Rather unsurprisingly, a number of top European clubs have expressed an interest in signing the seemingly unstoppable Camarda, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are one of the clubs believed to be keen on making a move for the teenager, as is Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, who have a great track record of securing sought-after talent.

Calciomercato also claim 'top European clubs' are chasing Camarda but they only names the previously mentioned teams.

"Francesco dreams of making his debut in Serie A with the Rossoneri shirt, the club he loves," the report says. "One step at a time and he will succeed. The technical project on him is progressing well."

AC Milan, meanwhile, are not afraid of losing the talented forward and are already working on his first professional contract. Camarda will turn 16 on March 10th.

Camarda is said to have averaged around 5.5 goals per game at youth level, according to football scout Sciabolata Morbida, who named the player as "one of the most prolific strikers in the country" before listing his remarkable goal record.

He netted 247 goals in just 40 games for AC Milan youth during the 2017/18 campaign, when he was just 8-years-old. And he then bagged 172 goals in 31 games during the 2018/19 campaign.

Morbida goes on to claim Camarda scored 64 goals in 16 games during 2019/20, meaning he recorded 483 goals in 87 games during that three-year period. Quite remarkable.
