Norwich City fans voiced their displeasure towards midfielder Billy Gilmour by chanting "f*** off back to Chelsea" during their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old Scotland international joined the Canaries on a season-long loan from European champions Chelsea in July.

Gilmour, who impressed during this summer's European Championships, has made 14 appearances for the club, earning praise from former manager Daniel Farke for settling into life quickly at Carrow Road.

But on Tuesday afternoon, a section of Norwich supporters bizarrely turned on the talented midfielder with a foul-mouthed chant during their 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

You can see the footage below.

The abuse aimed towards Chelsea loanee Gilmour was slated by many as Norwich fell to another defeat.

Football Scotland writer Mark McDougall wrote: "Norwich fans wanting rid of the best player at their club. Don't blame Billy Gilmour for your owners being happy to be a yo-yo club and not investing in your squad. Weird fans."

Here's some more reaction from social media.
