Nicolas Otamendi cemented his reputation as an absolute madman last night by viciously elbowing Raphinha and immediately picking him up as though nothing had happened.
While Argentina's game with Brazil wasn't a classic and ended goalless, it proved to be a typically feisty affair with a ridiculous 42 fouls and seven yellow cards.

Incredibly, Benfica defender Otamendi was not one of those to be cautioned. And if we're being honest, he probably should have been shown red in the first half.
The 33-year-old caught Leeds United winger Raphinha right in the face when the two tussled for the ball, causing blood to gush from his lip.

Cotovelada no rosto do Raphinha, que sangra. Na cara dura Otamendi ainda arranca o brasileiro do chão. O moço de preto? Nada. VAR? Segue o jogo. pic.twitter.com/eCfINRvg4k

Nothing wrong with this. Otamendi just elbowed him and made him bleed. No red card. pic.twitter.com/0mz6KA2Lan

But instead of apologising, Otamendi simply hoisted the 24-year-old back to his feet and trotted off as if nothing had happened.
Raphinha protested to the referee but somehow, even with VAR in use, Otamendi was not penalised whatsoever.
Raphinha then had to play with cotton wool in his mouth to stop the blood drawn.

Earlier on in the game, Otamendi, a serial sh*thouse, had bumped into Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr for no reason.

The former Manchester City man absolutely loves picking up players as in the Copa America final, he moved Neymar from the turf after the Paris Saint-Germain man was appealing for a foul.

Otamendi has become a regular in the heart of defence under Lionel Scaloni and has kept six consecutive clean sheets for La Albiceleste.
