Before Anthony Joshua bagged the WBO title, Zlatan Ibrahimovic produced heroics on his LA Galaxy debut and the Swedish superstar has since sent a brilliant message to the unified world heavyweight champion.

Ibrahimovic completed a switch from Manchester United to LA Galaxy, and he made his Major League Soccer debut in absolutely stunning fashion.

After coming on as a substitute, Ibrahimovic netted an unbelievable brace including a ridiculous 35-yard screamer.

He then netted a winner in stoppage time to beat local rivals Los Angeles FC.

Across the pond, Joshua defended his IBF and WBA (super) titles against Joseph Parker while claiming the WBO strap.

And following his 21st professional victory, Ibrahimovic has congratulated him with a classy message:

He posted a picture of himself with Joshua's world titles - minus his latest belt, accompanied with the words: "Anthony Joshua Im missing one. Power is nothing without control. Well done"

It's Joshua's first bout as a pro going to the distance. He easily picked off his Kiwi opponent, pumping his jab to a lop-sided decision.

He's now targeting a fight against WBC holder Deontay Wilder. Make it happen, Eddie Hearn.

What a debut from Ibrahimovic, and a calculated performance by Joshua. Congrats, lads!
