Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be playing for the team in Thursday's visit of Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League as he has been granted a holiday away by Jose Mourinho, reports The Mirror.

After leading the line in the win over Leicester City at the weekend, the Swede is on a brief vacation in Milan, where he was seen dining at a restaurant owned by former A.C Milan teammate Clarence Seedorf.

That means the out-out-form Wayne Rooney could return to the United site for their first Europa League match at Old Trafford this season. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also back in the fold after missing the last four United games through injury.

However there are a few notable injuries for Mourinho and United to contend with, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw remain sidelined while Phil Jones has ankle ligament issue.

United will be hoping to pick up their first victory in this year's Europa League after losing to Feyenoord in their opening fixture.
