Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the perfect response to derogatory chants against him during the thrilling clash between AS Roma and AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic marked his return to the Milan starting XI with a moment of magic.

He struck a brilliant free-kick past Rui Patrício to fire his side into the lead on Sunday.

Franck Kessie made it 2-0 from the spot, with Stephan El Shaarawy scoring a late consolation.

But the ageing Swedish superstar was the talk of the game and not just because of his first half goal.

The former Manchester United man was subjected to vile taunts by AS Roma fans, who sang: "Sei uno zingaro" - which translates to you are a gypsy.

In typical box-office fashion, though, Ibrahimovic hit back and told them to sing louder, according to reports.

Unfortunately for the player, he was booked for his gesture.

Jose Mourinho had never lost a home Serie A match until Ibrahimovic and Co turned up at the Stadio Olimpico.

They ended Mourinho's incredible 43-game unbeaten streak to move level on points with league leaders Napoli.

Speaking after the game, the Portuguese manager said: "I want to be on the bench on Sunday and I don't want a disciplinary action against me.

"That's why I don't want to talk.

"I congratulate Milan, who won. Seeing that there is no respect for the Roma players is hard, respect that we have is the respect that everyone should have but it is not like that.

"In a game where we did not play well in the first half and against a good team, there was no respect for the Roma fans."
