Zinedine Zidane has responded to the comments Isco made about his situation at Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

Isco bagged a stunning hat-trick in the 6-1 demolition of Argentina at the Wanda Metropolitano and then talked about not hot having the same confidence at club level as he does with the national team.

"In Madrid, I don't have the confidence a player needs," he said in his post-match interview as quoted by Marca via Sky Sports.

"The matches with the national team give me life. Here, I have the confidence of the coach.

"I want to show that I'm a good player. Lopetegui shows me confidence with the minutes he gives me.

"Maybe I'm the problem in Madrid. I don't know how to win Zidane's confidence."

The aforementioned quotes has led to doubts over the former Malaga man's future at the Bernabeu but Zidane played everything down when speaking to reporters on Friday.

"Isco is a Real Madrid player and he is staying here," the Real Madrid boss stressed in his press conference as quoted by Cadena Cope.

"His comments do not bother me, we have a relationship and he is honest about his situation, but this is not a problem and it is important we work together to find his best version.

"The media always like to take words and invent stories but we both know the situation and there is no concern.

"He will not travel to Las Palmas as he is not feeling 100% and neither is Sergio Ramos, so they will be rested but Gareth Bale is ready to play."

In September, Isco signed a new contract tying him down until 2022 with Los Blancos, with a whopping €700 million release clause being placed in his deal.

Is it in his best interests to move on in the summer?

Sound off in the comments.
