Zidane Was Well Out Of Order With What He Did To Ceballos Last Night

The 21-year old's move to Real hasn't worked out so far...

Dani Ceballos' career at Real Madrid has been an absolute disaster thus far.

After lighting up the Under 21 Euros for Spain and deservedly being named the player of the tournament after a series of sublime displays, he was subject to interest from a whole host of top European clubs.

Champions League winners Real Madrid were right at the front of the queue to sign him and pipped Barcelona to his services, with Ceballos penning a six-year contract for a transfer fee of around €18 million.

There were fears that he would struggle to break into the Los Blancos side and get regular game-time. Well, that's exactly what has happened.

He's made just five starts for Real but he hit a real low point in the La Liga game against Leganes last night.

Real, without their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, won 3-1 to move into third place in La Liga. However, Ceballos will probably feel as though he barely played a part because he lasted just 29 seconds on the pitch.

The former Real Betis man was brought on as a stoppage-time substitute to replace Mateo Kovacic, but the referee's whistle was blown pretty much as soon as he'd made his way onto the pitch.

It was a poor move on Zinedine Zidane's part, and he's been given plenty of stick on social media:

It's a shame to see such a talented player treated in such a manner and not afforded vital minutes of the pitch. He could really do with a loan spell to allow him to kick on again...
