Yaya Toure Finally Has Himself A New Club Two Months After Leaving Manchester City

It's been a long wait, but he's back in the game...

Yaya Toure's new club has finally been confirmed after lots of teasing from his agent, Dimitri Seluk.

The Ivorian's contract with City was not renewed and he played his final game for the club against Brighton, ending his glittering eight-year stint after 316 appearances and 82 goals - many of which were of monumental importance.

And while his search for a new club took longer than we all thought it was, and Seluk duped us all into thinking he was signing for a London club, the 35-year old has now returned to Olympiacos in Greece, where he played between 2005 and 2006 before his career really took off.

Toure jetted out to Athens, signed his contract to seal his move back to the club and was given quite the reception from the supporters.

Yaya joined Olympiakos from Metalurh Donetsk and made 26 appearances for them, winning the league title and Greek Cup in his only season for the club.

He later moved to Monaco and then won a slew of trophies with Barcelona during his three years there.

But there's no doubt his best form came in the sky blue shirt of Manchester City, where he won three Premier League trophies, two League Cups and one FA Cup - almost single-handedly ending City's 35-year wait for silverware with winners against Manchester United and Stoke City.

His serious allegations of racism against Pep Guardiola has dented his relationship with City fans somewhat but he's easily up there as one of the best midfielders ever to play in the Premier League.
