The world's second richest man is said to be preparing a mammoth £890 million takeover bid for Italian giants AC Milan.
Bernard Arnault, who owns famed fashion brand Louis Vuitton and champagne company Dom Perignon along with 68 other brands, is keen on acquiring a football club and has identified the Rossoneri as a leading contender according to Rome newspaper Il Messaggero.
The Frenchman, worth an estimated £86 billion as per the Forbes rich-list published in July, sees serious potential at Milan and has plans to make major investments in regards to transfer funds, the academy and sponsorship deals if he is able to purchase the club.
Elliot Management have been the current owners since 2017 and are believed to have no interest in selling the club - even turning down offers upwards of £500 million in recent times.
Milan have been something of a sleeping giant in recent years, where they have been absent from the Champions League after underperforming domestically.
