Axel Witsel Produces Hilarious Tweet After Michy Batshuayi Smacks The Ball In His Own Face

Very good banter...

Michy Batshuayi produced one of the best moments of the World Cup last night with his celebration for Adnan Januzaj's sublime winner against England.

Once the ball hit the back of the net following the former Manchester United winger's wonderful curling effort, the Chelsea striker grabbed then booted the ball, which hit him right in the kisser after it cannoned back off the post.

The glorious goal was good, but Batshuayi's 'karma' unquestionably the highlight of a very drab game in Kaliningrad. And his teammate Axel Witsel, rested for the game along with several other Belgian big guns, clearly enjoyed it.

The Tianjin Quanjian midfielder posted the following brilliant tweet to inform everyone that Batshuayi had made peace with the goalpost after their altercation:

They've had their falling out but it's nice to see they still retain that love and admiration for one another. I'm sure you'll agree that Witsel's post was pretty funny but of course it doesn't hold up against Batshuayi's incredible reaction to his embarrassing moment.

The social media king smashed it as per with a series of tweets:

He wouldn't be the first Belgian to see the ball ricochet off the post and right into his face, as his teammate Kevin De Bruyne has already experienced the same pain.

Never change, Michy.
