With Santa Claus getting prepared to deliver all the presents all around the world later on tonight, we're remembering the time Bayern midfielder Thiago Alcantara passed to him in a game.
It makes for sensational viewing and it's genuinely something you need to watch at least 20 times.
With the No.6 collecting the ball in midfield, an image of Santa Claus (wearing red of course) appears on the electronic advertising board on the left side and it's no coincidence that Thiago passes the ball out to the left at the exact same moment.
His teammate races back and keeps the ball in play and had he not, the ball would absolutely be ending up in Santa's path before he jumps out of the electronic board, races down the left flank and whacks in a screamer into the top corner.
Thiago intends to pass to Santa here. doesn't he?
Even if he doesn't, the timing of Santa whizzing past on the electronic board is absolutely perfect.
Bayern's official Twitter account got behind the meme and jokingly announced the singing of the unselfish Santa Claus, who is believed to be a distant relation to former striker Roque Santa Cruz.
Just a month before Thiago went viral, on November 21 2016, Peterborough United sported a bright fluorescent green away kit in their win over Northampton and that brought about a bit of difficulty for midfielder Michael Bostwick.
The strip has the identical colours to the typical attire a pitchside steward wears and so when a figure wearing bright Hi-Vis colours was moving near the pitch, Bostwick mistakenly thought one of the stewards was a teammate and passed the ball to him.
"Left-back's on!"- EFL (@EFL) November 21, 2016
"Oh no, wait, that's a steward..."
He must have wondered why his 'teammate' didn't collect the ball. The ball rolled out of play as Bostwick gave the opposition a throw-in.
