"In a display of incredible generosity, the board have decided to award you a sum in the region of £500 million to spend on players and a new stadium."

You smash the spacebar button faster than you've ever hit it before, exit the inbox and head to your scouting network.
"I can finally improve my depleted squad with a few Colombian wonderkids and a striker with 18 composure!" I hear you say. "Next stop, Champions League football..."

"Sadly this proved to be an April Fool's wind-up from Sports Interactive." they continued.
Some unfortunate Football Manager players took to social media after they were pranked.
