Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang isn't an Arsenal player (well, yet) but it appears Arsene Wenger is already preparing his first Arsenal outing.

After snapping up Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United, while losing Alexis Sanchez who went the other way in a straight swap deal, Arsenal remain active in the transfer market.

Though the club don't have long to secure signings with next weeks deadline day looming.

Arsenal continue to be heavily linked with a bunch of players, including Borussia Dortmund's lethal striker.

Uncertainty surrounding Aubameyang's future has dominated the January window, heck even the summer window with a switch to the Chinese Super League muted.

But, it does appears a move to the Emirates is on the cards despite Dortmund rejecting Arsenal's advances. The German outfit are holding out for 60 million euros, with the Gunners yet to meet that valuation.

However, it seems like Wenger is confident in pulling off the signing. So much so he's even penciled in his Arsenal debut.

Next up for Arsenal is an away Premier League fixture at Swansea, with Wenger reportedly expecting to call upon Aubameyang's service for the trip to Wales, according to Bild.

Will Arsenal strike a deal with Dortmund for the Gabon marksman?

A stumbling block appears to involve Olivier Giroud. Dortmund want Giroud as part of the deal. Will the Frenchman head to Germany?

Meanwhile, expect the Aubameyang story to rumble on until confirmation.
