He played a combined 12 Premier League games in two seasons, before heading out on loan to gain experience.
Crystal Palace secured his services on a season-long loan, and he's enjoying his football at Selhurst Park, featuring in 20 league games this season.
Including coming face-to-face with Manchester City's rapid German winger who's named Fosu-Mensah as his toughest test.

"It was before when I was playing against Kyle Walker. And Crystal Palace's right-back Timothy Fosu-Mensah, I have played against him twice this season, and even last season, he had me really well under control and I told him how happy I was to play against him," he said via Manchester Evening News.
City drew 0-0 at Palace, with the Dutchman containing Sane very well.
United boss Jose Mourinho will be pleased with the progression Fosu-Mensah is showing ahead of potential spot in his squad from next season.
