Jamie Carragher was suspended by Sky until the end of the season after spitting on a family including a teenage girl on the motorway.

And it appears he's doing his very best to get his job back at Sky Sports.

Following Liverpool's loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford, a United fan exchanged words with the football pundit while driving.

The man goaded Carragher so much he spat at them. It was captured on video, with his employers acting.

Sky suspended him with further actions to be determined once this season is in the books.

Carragher is hellbent on retaining his gig, and it's being reported that he's attending anger management classes to resolve his issues, according to The Times.

Since his spit shame, the former Liverpool defender has been extremely remorseful, and he's clearly doing everything in his powers to hold onto his lucrative position.

The 40-year-old was briefly suspended by TV3 Sport but the Danish channel reinstated him, and he was pitch side for Liverpool's Champions League semi-final second leg at AS Roma.

Sky's initial statement regarding the incident read: "Following an internal review, Sky has suspended Jamie Carragher for the remainder of the football season.

"Jamie has taken full responsibility for what has happened and we will ensure he gets the help he needs to guarantee something like this never happens again.

"Before the start of the next season we will sit down with Jamie to discuss whether he is ready to return to his role."
