Paul Pogba's bizarre 'slow motion' run-up for his penalty may have come as a surprise to Manchester United fans at Old Trafford last night but a few may have remembered it's a technique he regularly uses - notably doing it in an FA Youth Cup quarter final away at Anfield as a 17-year old with a very different outcome.
Against Leicester, the World Cup struck his spot-kick brilliantly despite taking about half an hour to take it - setting the tone for what was a very complete midfield performance from the former Juventus man.
However, back in 2011 Pogba tried to be cocky in front of the Kop and it went horribly wrong. Again, he took an age to approach the ball and coolly slotted home.

But referee David Coote deemed his fake shot, which fooled the goalkeeper midway through his run-up, to be an illegal move - and so Pogba was shown a second yellow and subsequently given his marching orders.
Larnell Cole then retook the second penalty and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way before Ravel Morrison struck twice to give United a massive 3-2 win in a game where four players saw red.
Pogba assumed penalty-taking duties ahead of Alexis Sanchez last night, despite the Chilean's best efforts. Commenting on their discussion after the game, the Frenchman told Sky Sports.

"We don't really have one [a designated penalty taker]. The manager has names but after, it's how we feel.
"I decided to take it, I was one of the names and in the next game, I can leave it to Alexis, it's not a problem. It is just the win that is the most important."
He also provided an explanation for his unorthodox run-up for the opening goal, saying:

"It's my style of taking penalties, I've always done. I know it's long, it can disturb the goalkeeper, but that's how I take it. The most important thing is that the ball goes in, because if I miss, I know what I will hear afterwards"
