VAR Review Sees West Ham's Fabian Balbuena Controversially Sent Off For Challenge On Chelsea's Ben Chilwell

Fabian Balbuena was sent off for West Ham against Chelsea following a VAR review.

After clearing the ball up the pitch, the Paraguayan caught Ben Chilwell with his follow through and referee Chris Kavanagh was instructed to go to the pitchside screen.

And having watched replays of the incident, he deemed Balbuena's challenge to have endangered an opponent and brandished the red card in the second half.

David Moyes was absolutely furious with the decision and so too were fans, players and pundits on social media.

Chelsea won 1-0 at the London Stadium, with Timo Werner scoring the crucial goal in the huge fixture in the race for Champions League qualification.
