The Hammers love a good striker signing.

It's common knowledge that West Ham love signing a striker. They have Andy Carroll, Jonathan Calleri, Simone Zaza, Andre Ayew, Ashley Fletcher and Diafra Sakho in their ranks at present but only Sakho has been on the scoresheet this season - his goal coming in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

But the Frenchman was also forced off with a thigh injury in yet another injury blow for the Hammers this season.

And with loanees Calleri and Zaza misfiring, West Ham will look to sign another striker in January and their top target is Bournemouth's Callum Wilson, who scored a hat-trick at Upton Park last season.

According to The Guardian, Slaven Bilic is ready to make a £25m for the 24-year old, who has been heavily linked with West Ham in the past.

Eddie Howe and Bournemouth want to keep hold of their star man and would surely not let him leave on the cheap even if he was interested in the move. The Cherries reportedly knocked back a £15m bid for Wilson from West Ham at the back-end of last season and the player committed his future to the club by signing a new four-year contract just two months later.

Tottenham and most recently Newcastle have both shown interest in Wilson but Eddie Howe said links to the Championship league leaders had "no substance".

Struggling West Ham have had to rely on the likes of Michail Antonio, who has scored six times in the Premier League this term, to provide the goods in attack. They are just one point off the relegation zone going into the visit of fourth-placed Arsenal at the weekend.
