In the latest installment of Premier League clubs fucking their fans over, West Ham have announced some outrageous ticket prices for their match against Arsenal on 3rd December.

Despite suffering Europa League qualifying humiliation at the hands of Romanian outfit Astra for the second season in a row and currently occupying 16th place in the league table after a dreadful first 10 games of the current campaign, West Ham's owners have, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make the cheapest U16 ticket for the visit of Arsenal (and all Category A games) an astonishing £50.

No, your eyes aren't dreaming, West Ham genuinely are charging £80 for a matchday ticket. Because after several months of embarrassment on and off the field, including fans becoming embroiled in violent episodes with opposition supporters and each other in a stadium that wasn't even finished in time for the beginning of the season, what will really make Hammers fans feel a lot more upbeat during the notoriously expensive festive season is being asked to remortgage their house in order to afford a trip to watch their team play at home.

Great, modern football, isn't it?
