For years, Wesley Sneijder has been continually linked with moves in the media - he's a regular in the rumour mill.

It seems like every summer he's on the verge of joining Manchester United, before nothing ever materialises.

Chelsea have also been heavily linked with the Dutchman over the years, but again a deal never took place despite the persistent rumours.

The rumours are Sneijder finally coming to England went up another gear last month when Turkish outlet Fotomac reported that bizarrely, Sunderland, who are playing in the Championship next season after finishing bottom of the Premier League under David Moyes last term, had their eyes on the 33-year old attacking midfielder.

The latest Wesley Sneijder transfer story is that the former Ajax and Inter Milan man's next career move could be the MLS, as per Sporx.

Sneijder has a year remaining on his deal in Istanbul and it's thought that if an appealing offer doesn't come in from a European club, a move to the top tier of football in the United States is his preference, and Montreal Impact have been touted as a destination.

The Canadian side have brought household names such as Alessandro Nesta, Didier Drogba, Ignacio Piatti and Blerim Džemaili to the club in recent times, and Sneijder could well be their next marquee signing - with the ex Real Madrid man becoming one of Impact's designated players if he does sign.

Though the prime years of his career were circa 2010, when he finished in fourth place in the Ballon d'Or rankings, you'd bet your house on Sneijder tearing it up in the MLS in the same way that so many other legends have done before him.

Would you like to see Sneijder head to the MLS or does he still have a bit more to offer in Europe?
