We're Still In Awe Over De Bruyne's Outrageous Touch Against Spurs

He sees things we'll never see...

Kevin De Bruyne produced the filthiest touch of the season in Manchester City's 3-1 win over Spurs at Wembley on Saturday night.

The Belgian midfielder has pretty much bossed every game against a top six outfit this term, with City managing nine wins out of ten home and away against the so-called 'big boys'.

And he was at it again yesterday, displaying just why he's in the frame for the PFA Player of the Year award as City bounced back from three successive defeats and took a huge stride towards the title.

It was another complete performance from the former Wolfsburg man and one piece of play in particular summed him up.

In a rare situation for Pep Guardiola's runaway league leaders, Nicolas Otamendi hoofed the ball up the pitch in the second half.

Given he was competing with the physical presence of Eric Dier in the air, one would merely expect KDB to challenge for the ball and try and retain possession.

But, as we have seen on numerous occasions this season, De Bruyne is no ordinary player.

He got in front of his marker and instead of trying to touch the ball down, he delicately flicked the ball in behind the Tottenham backline for Raheem Sterling to latch onto.

It's an utterly sublime piece of individual brilliance. He genuinely had no right to make such a pass.

Sterling, who denied his teammate the assist of the season by failing to convert, is only just on the halfway line when the ball drops out of the sky.

I, like many others, am still in complete awe as to how he pulled it off. He sees things we'll never see.

Should KDB win POTY or does Mo Salah deserve it?
