Arsene Wenger became the first ever manager to lift his seventh FA Cup, this evening, yet over the past few months, barely a day has gone by when a protest against his management hasn't popped up somewhere across the globe.

'Wenger Out' protests have become more and more prolific with each disastrous result endured by the Gunners, this season, with a 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League and failure to finish in the Premier League top four for the first time in 21 years proving to be the nadir for many of the club's fans.

However, the Arsenal boss came out fighting ahead of today's victorious FA Cup final at Wembley, against Chelsea, during an interview on Football Focus.

Despite Arsenal's poor season and the fact the Gunners haven't mounted a serious title challenge since they last won the league, in 2004, Wenger believes the levels of vitriol aimed in his direction has been unacceptable.

"The lack of respect in some stage has been for me a disgrace, and I will never accept that."

It is widely expected that Wenger, out of contract this summer, will be handed a new two year deal by the Arsenal board in the coming weeks.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey handed the Gunners their third FA Cup in four seasons and thirteenth overall, making the North London club the most successful club in the competition's history.

Diego Costa equalised for Antonio Conte's side shortly after Victor Moses had been sent off, only for Ramsey to head home just 20 seconds after the restart to hand Arsenal the trophy.
