A disturbing video has emerged showing Arsenal fans being attacked by Spanish police.

Arsenal crashed out of the Europa League following the 2-1 aggregate defeat to Atletico Madrid, meaning no fairy tale ending for departing manager Arsene Wenger.

Ex-Chelsea hero Diego Costa - it had to be - bagged the only goal on Thursday night to send Atletico Madrid into the Europa League final opposite French outfit Marseille.

And following the final whistle, a group of Arsenal fans congregated outside the Wanda Metropolitano where they bumped into Spanish police. What happened next was very, very unsavoury.

The video appears to show a Arsenal fan singled out by Spanish police, who hits him with a baton which naturally prompts a furious reaction from the crowd gathered.

Another Tweet suggests the Arsenal fans were kept inside the ground.

Similar scenes occurred in Barcelona with Chelsea fans repeatedly attacked by local police during this seasons Champions League campaign.
