Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone had his hands full with trying to stop a dominant Real Madrid side on Tuesday evening at the Bernabeu.

Atleti were completely and utterly outplayed by their Madrid rivals in the semi-final first leg, with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging a hat-trick and giving Real a huge opportunity of reaching yet another Champions League final - what would be the third appearance in the past four seasons.

But as difficult as the task was for Simeone to try and thwart a Madrid side well in the mood, he appeared to have time try and do a bit of wheeler-dealing.

The press in Spain, namely Cadena COPE say that as Alvaro Morata was about to warm up during the big Champions League showdown, Simeone did his best to try and persuade Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata to move across the city.

You might have to watch it a few times to spot in but the former Lazio player clearly has something to say to the 24-year old striker.

And the eagle-eyed and gifted lip readers in the Spanish press reckon that he uttered the words: "Come with me to Atletico".

Morata, despite scoring 18 goals in all competitions this term, is still seen as the second choice striker at Los Blancos and looks set to move on in the summer.

Cadena Ser in Spain reported that Jose Mourinho has been in touch with Morata about a move to Old Trafford, where the two would link up. The Portuguese boss gave the Spaniard his debut as a 17-year old back in 2010.

Chelsea are also continually linked and are said to be leading the race, though, with Morata stating an interview with The Guardian that he is "sure" he will one day play under Antonio Conte, who approved his transfer at Juventus before taking the Italian national team job.

He said:

"Conte is the manager who most 'bet' on me, without even ever having had me in his team. I'm very conscious of that: he bet on me for Juventus but left before I arrived; then he wanted me at Chelsea come what may. He knows me better than I could imagine, I'm sure, and that's important: it motivates you to work hard, train well.

"I feel indebted to him because he's the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level. And yet I've never had the fortune to actually work with him. I'm sure sooner or later I will."
