WATCH: Ricardo Quaresma Helps Friend Brilliantly Scare Cristiano Ronaldo

Ricardo Quaresma got his own back on Cristiano Ronaldo by helping his friend scare the Real Madrid superstar.

Ronaldo is back in his homeland ahead of Portugal's World Cup qualifier with Latvia on Sunday, but first he had some boot launch business to take care of.

Or at least that's all he thought he was doing.

The Madrid man did show up for the launch of Nike's new Mercurial boots, but he got a fright from one of his friends who was acting on the idea of international team-mate Quaresma.

The prank was documented on Ronaldo's Instagram Story, with his friend telling his followers that they'd came up with a plan to frighten the Euro 2016 winner.

Apparently Quaresma was pranked badly by Ronaldo last year, where the former Manchester United attacker covered his car in tin foil before spraying CR7 over the top of it:

But Ronaldo took his payback well - using it as an opportunity to throw a bit more publicity towards the new CR7 Discovery Mercurial boots release:

Either this was all just one funny prank war - or it's some pretty impressive PR from Ronaldo and Nike.

And either way, we enjoyed it!
