Lukas Podolski has had his say on Arsene Wenger's situation at Arsenal.

The Gunners boss has been at the centre of widespread speculation over recent weeks after his side struggled domestically and in Europe.

They're out of the Premier League title race and struggling for the top four despite reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

And their Champions League exit was an embarrassment as Bayern Munich smashed them 10-2 to knock them out in the last 16.

With Wenger's contract at the club expiring at the end of this season, more attention is on him and what he will do as fans continue to show their frustration.

It's a busy time for everyone with an affiliation with the club as they're asked for their view on the Frenchman.

Former Gooner Podolski was asked after he scored the winner against England last night. The German, who played his final game for his country last night, praised his former boss and said that he "built this club [Arsenal] up from nothing".

Podolski was then when asked about whether or not he believes Wenger should stay on beyond this season and after a good few minutes collecting his thoughts, he answered to close out the interview.

It was quite a night for Podolski, who captained Germany in his final appearance and bowed out in style with a trademark netbuster

He was then given a standing ovation as he left the pitch late in the second half and even had his own music to accompany his departure from the field.
