Joey Barton has broken his silence on his doomed spell at Rangers, and insists he still would have joined the Ibrox club if he could go back in time.
As just about everyone in the UK knows by now, Barton was signed on a free transfer by Rangers last summer to amidst great fanfare but ended up playing his final game for the club on September 10 - the 5-1 defeat to Celtic.

After a heated fall-out with manager Mark Warburton and team-mate Andy Halliday, Barton finally departed Rangers in November after agreeing a severance package but appearing on BBC 5Live Sport this evening, the 34-year-old claims he'd do it all again:

Barton also gave his thoughts on the heavy defeat to Celtic - saying Chelsea's N'Golo Kante couldn't have stopped the Hoops' assault that day:
Barton is currently training with former club Burnley but it remains to be seen if he'll be offered another contract with the Premier League side.
