When you think of footballers who could delve into the music scene, Ray Parlour is surely not one of the first names to spring into your mind.

John Barnes is the obvious choice as he has a bit of a connection with music, with his famous 'Anfield Rap' and his memorable cameo in New Order's "World In Motion" track for England's 1990 World Cup campaign.

Royston Drenthe (remember him) has packed football in for a rap career and released the following track:

But something tells us Ray Parlour won't be taking up music full-time after doing a bit of a collaboration with Grime artist Stormzy.

The Shut Up singer was a guest on the Alan Brazil Breakfast show today and as part of the broadcast, former Arsenal man Parlour put together a bit of a rap to Stormzy's big hit "Wicked Skengman".

Debuting as a "Ray Pizzy", Parlour tries to lock the flow to the soundtrack and throw it down.

His stand-out line is "Thierry Henry, that man was merky - he could roast teams like a turkey" and the middle-aged man somehow manages to utter words like "wasteman", "peng ting" - phrases he has surely never used before.

Stormzy, an avid football fan who has mentioned the likes of David Moyes, Andres Iniesta and Romelu Lukaku (a nice mix, I know) in his lyrics, was a big fan of Parlour's effort.
