Earlier today, England's second-tier agreed in principle to use goalline technology from the start of the 2017/2018 season.
But surely it's only a matter of time before it's introduced in European competition - It sure would've benefited Ajax this evening.

In their round of 32 first leg against Legia Warsaw, Ajax's Davy Klaassen effort was ruled not a goal despite the ball well behind the line.
With the keeper barely holding the ball, the surrounding Ajax players briefly protested before ruing the missed opportunity.
