Manchester United foundation have detailed a young man's inspiring story. 11-year-old Samuel has cerebral palsy but it has not stopped him pursuing his passion for football as he plays in goal for his Year 7 school team.

The aspiring keeper attends Manchester Creative and Media Academy in Blackley, a partner school of Manchester United Foundation, and was nominated by his Foundation coach to receive a series of surprises as a result of his dedication and positive attitude towards life.

And he deserves it!

He got the gift of a lifetime as he met his United idols at the clubs training base in Carrington. Samuel met Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, among others, describing it as his "best day of his life."

Not only did he meet Pogba and Ibrahimovic, but he also chatted away with United's main man between the sticks who even gave Samuel his gloves; "De Gea gave me his actual gloves, which was better than anything I have ever got."

Needless to say, having the condition is very hard but, amazingly, Samuel claims he just gets on with it. Hero.

"Having cerebral palsy is very hard, and playing football is a bit difficult but I don't really take that as a big issue, I just get on with it."

"United show good emotions that they can keep going no matter what. So that's what I say to myself: 'Never, never, never give up.' I'm in a wheelchair and I never give up. Just try. Try your hardest."
