Welcome back to the Premier League, Aston Villa.

Aston Villa will be playing Premier League football next season after beating Derby County 2-1 in the Championship play-off final.

Anwar El Ghazi opened the scoring a minute before the break after heading home from Ahmed Elmohamady's cross.

John McGinn then doubled his side's advantage in the 59th minute. He headed in Villa's second goal after El Ghazi's deflected strike ballooned up in the air.

Second-half substitute Martyn Waghorn pulled one back for Derby in the 81st minute.

Villa, led by boyhood fan Dean Smith and captained by local lad Jack Grealish, return to the Premier League for the first time since the 2015/16 season.

They join Championship winners Norwich and runners-up Sheffield United in gaining promotion to the top flight.
