Despite being club teammates, Arturo Vidal and Joshua Kimmich were involved in a heated bust-up during the Confederation Cup final.

Germany ultimately saw off Chile on Sunday night as they beat the Copa America champions 1-0 courtesy of a defensive mistake, which saw Lars Stindl bag the only goal of the game.

Though the final was a hotly contested match which saw Bayern Munich colleagues Vidal and Kimmich go at it.

The pair got into a 'fight', and the Chilean midfielder has detailed the incident revealing what he told the German youngster.

"This was a decent fight. Things were heated. We had something to clarify. We have not seen each other after the game, but we'll see each other in 20 days," he told Bild via Squawka.

They remain friends after getting caught up in the heat of the moment with Vidal offering him a piece of friendly advise.

"I only told him to talk less and play more. But it's okay, we were hot. We're still friends."

There's no cause for concern once they reunite at Bayern, well, according to Kimmich.

"It will not be an issue at the first Bayern training," the budding defender said.

"We have come together a bit. I did not say anything, he said a few things. But I do not care, these things happen on the field."

Nothing to worry about, Carlo.

Joachim Low picked a youthful team for the competition, and his decision to rest key players while selecting such a young side proved a good choice following claiming yet another major international honour.
