Valencia sent a 'spy' to get some extra information on Barcelona ahead of their trip to Nou Camp at the weekend but it was a bit different to the Leeds United-Derby County spygate story.

A teddy bear of Los Che's mascot went over to Barcelona today and documented the whole trip on social media, with some truly hilarious tweets:

And the best bit came in the form of the notes written down from watching train behind the bushes - the highlight being "Messi = good". Spot on analysis.

The big mission came to a halt when Valencia announced the signings of Ruben Sobrino and Fernando Roncaglia but an update did arrive later on.

Messi was on it again on Wednesday as Barca thrashed Sevilla 6-1 to progress to the Copa Del Rey semi-finals.

He started the game by handing the ball to Philippe Coutinho take a penalty when fouled early on, demonstrating leadership qualities by boosting the Brazilian's confidence in the process.

Then, after getting an assist for Sergi Roberto, he finished a gorgeous one-touch move from Barca to bag the sixth and put the gloss on a stunning win for the Blaugrana.

Valencia really ought to do more spying...
