UFC 248's Full List Of Suspensions Released, Joanna Jedrzejczyk Set For Extended Absence After Suffering Hematoma

UFC 248's Full List Of Suspensions Released, Joanna Jedrzejczyk Set For Extended Absence After Suffering Hematoma

UFC have released the full lost of medical suspensions for those who were involved in the UFC 248 event in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Of all those who competed on the card, 32-year-old Polish fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk suffered the most serious injury after sustaining a horrific hematoma in her war with Zhang Weili in the co-main event for the women's strawweight championship.

As a result of the severe swelling she suffered from the fight of the night, Jedrzejczyk has been suspended for two-months and is not allowed contact until April 22.

Weili too took some serious punishment in what many are calling the greatest women's fight in UFC history and headed straight to the hospital following the five-round slugfest.

The 30-year old has also been given the same mandatory length of suspension following her successful defence.

Israel Adesanya bested Yoel Romero via unanimous decision in an underwhelming main event for the UFC middleweight title.
