UEFA are planning to launch a third club team competition from 2021.
The competition will run alongside the Champions League and Europa League.
Europe's elite competition will continue to run as normal with 32 teams, while the Europa League is set to be reduced from 48 to 32 clubs.
A third competition still requires a name but will also feature 32 sides from around Europe.

Sport Bild says UEFA will launch a THIRD competition, with 32 teams, from 2021.
Sounds like the plan is to move the smaller nations to this competition, and make the Europa League a stronger all-round comp.https://t.co/rXsYkKiOJS

By introducing a new competition, it bolsters the Europa League - making it a more attractive tournament by increasing the sporting quality thus improving marketing opportunities as outlined by Sport Bild.
It also allows smaller, like really small European teams, to play football outside of their domestic league.
The idea was first explored in 2015 with UEFA's bigwigs looking to turn those plans into reality.
