Many believe that Kieran Trippier was England's best player in the World Cup and one statistic in particular highlights just how good his tournament has been.
Following the 2-0 third place play-off defeat to Belgium today, the Spurs right-back has created a whopping 24 chances in his World Cup tournament - which is more than any other player has managed.

Yes, you can point out that a key part of that stat is the fact that he's taken so many set-pieces in Russia but his deliveries have been absolute money throughout and deserve recognition.
Kieran Trippier has been the standout performer of this World Cup for England.
I adore the lad and I won't have a bad word said about him.

You can definitely make a case for Trippier deserving to be in the team of the tournament, even though Benjamin Pavard and Šime Vrsaljko have both been excellent and one will be getting their hands on the World Cup trophy.
The 27-year old can be very proud of what he's accomplished on the world stage and his excellent showing is to be commemorated by his hometown of Bury, who feel he merits the freedom of the Greater Manchester area.
Bury council leader Rishi Shor heaped praise on the right-back at a recent meeting.
"Kieran and his England team-mates have given a huge amount of joy for local people," he said.
"He deserves to be acknowledged. He is a huge role model to younger people and hopefully can inspire the next generation of footballers in Bury."
