Trent Alexander-Arnold has insisted that there is 'nothing a player can really do' when they come up against the combined power and speed of Adama Traore.

The 22-year-old Liverpool right-back has established himself as one of the best full-backs in world football and an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's squad.

And Trent has found himself battling it out against the 24-year-old Traore when Liverpool clash with Wolves in the Premier League.

The England international was asked to build his perfect player by assigning footballers to different attributes, ranging from strength and heading to stamina and skills.

Trent, unsurprisingly, revealed that he would pick Traore for his speed, saying that the Wolves star is "almost not human the way he can change direction."

The Liverpool star told Goal: "It's almost not human the way he can change direction and go. I've never felt so powerless against someone.

"People are faster than you, that's inevitable, but you can get yourself in good positions, give yourself a head start and get yourself in the race. But with him, and with his power as well, there's nothing you can really do.

"I remember last season when he came on at Anfield. He's just turned and knocked it, and he was gone. I've never felt like that before! It has to be him, has to be."

Trent also picked Liverpool teammates James Milner, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah for the perfect player's stamina, heading and strength respectively.

Traore, who was linked with Liverpool in the summer window, has become widely revered for his speed and power on the pitch.

The Spain international was also revealed to be the most successful dribbler in Europe's top five leagues last season.
