Remember when West Ham decided to fuck with everyone's heads and sign Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in 2006? Mad, wasn't it? Two world class Argentina internationals plying their trade at Upton Park for a team who were lucky not to be relegated. Well, that bit of business could pale in comparison to the next deal the Hammers have lined up.
Real Madrid's James Rodriguez is rumoured to be on Slaven Bilic's wanted list and 'Los Blancos' are willing to part with the Colombia international, according to Marca, but only if their €80 million valuation is met.
While such a steep asking price would have usually caused the Hammers to balk, it may now no longer prove to be such a stumbling block, with the vast influx of TV rights money being pumped into Premier League clubs.
Advert
It is believed Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG are all also in the race for the 25-year-old's signature.
