West Ham Name Their Price For Dimitri Payet

Unsurprisingly, following his phenomenal debut season in the Premier League, Dimitri Payet has found himself to be one of the most sought after players in world football. Now, with news of PSG joining the race for the Frenchman's signature, West Ham have named their price for their most valuable asset.

A £10m arrival from Marseille in the summer, Payet has been a revelation for the Hammers, scoring 12 goals from midfield, many of them memorable free-kicks, as Slaven Bilic's men have enjoyed an unexpected push for the Champions League places, this term.

Having shone for France following his recent international call-up, the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and the aforementioned PSG have all begun to circle, leading West Ham to slap a £40m price tag on their star man.

Given that Payet has made the transition to the Premier League with consummate ease and is enjoying his peak years, £40m in the current transfer market seems like exceptionally good business.
