His fall from grace has been documented intensely since his infamous decline at Swansea City, but it looks like Michu's career is back on track.
Once rated at £30 million, Michu's first season in the Premier League left many impressed, with then manager Michael Laudrup claiming that 'only Barcelona and Real Madrid' could prize him away from Swansea.
But things quickly veered in the wrong direction for Michu at the Liberty, with Napoli taking him on loan in 2014. He failed to score for the Italian side and joined UP Langreo of the Spanish fourth tier.
Michu bagged nine goals in 16 games for the Asturian amateurs which clearly left Spanish second division Real Oviedo interested in buying the once prolific striker.
The transfer is expected to go through as early as this week, just in time for Oviedo's first fixture against Real Valladolid.

A happy ending for Michu?
