Southampton are planning a huge raid on the Premier League after receiving a world record £75 million for defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutchman became the world's most expensive defender yesterday when the deal taking him from Southampton to Liverpool was confirmed via social media.

Now, with Saints hovering just two points above the drop zone after a run of seven games without a win, manager Mauricio Pellegrino will be given the £75 million to reinvest into his struggling squad.
And a list of targets has already been drawn up, with several established Premier League stars being linked with moves to St. Mary's.
The Telegraph are reporting that Saints will make a loan move for out of favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who has seen his chances at Anfield limited under Jurgen Klopp due to a combination of injuries, poor form and those players ahead of him in the pecking order all being in red hot form.

The same report also claims that Southampton will launch a bid for Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon, a 17-year-old left-back who has also been heavily linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Elsewhere, there could also be returns to the south coast for Manchester United's Luke Shaw and Arsenal's Theo Walcott, both of whom made their names at Southampton before earning big money moves away from the club, where they have since struggled.
A £25 million move may also be sanctioned for Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson, although Southampton will face competition from West Ham United for the 23-year-old.
Could these players be the right choices to lift Pellegrini's men away from the drop zone, though?
