Shinji Kagawa appears to be heading to the La Liga.

The Japanese maestro returned to Borussia Dortmund in 2014 following a three-year stint at Manchester United.

He transferred to the Old Trafford club for a reported £12 million though only managed to compile 38 Premier League games.

Kagawa made his name in Germany as a skillful play maker after arriving in 2010 from Japan, where he rose to prominence at Cerezo Osaka.

But his second spell at Borussia Dortmund is nearing an end according to reports via Football 365.

He barely featured for the German club during pre-season under Lucien Favre prior to the 2018/19 season.

Kagawa, naturally, is a wanted man with reports from Spain suggesting Sevilla are closing in on signing the midfielder ahead of the Spanish transfer deadline which slams shut on August 31st.

Sevilla, meanwhile, have snapped up new talent during the summer window.

From Barcelona's Aleix Vidal to the loan capture of AC Milan striker Andre Silva, who bagged a stunning hat-trick on his La Liga debut.

The Portuguese ace has already scored more league goals than he did in Italy.

Will Kagawa join the likes of Vidal and Silva to Sevilla?
