During Tuesday night's Champions League tie at the Bernabeu, all eyes were on Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

It felt like his performance was a trial, as rumours of a potential move to Los Blancos surrounded the fixture.

Faced with the opportunity to prove himself on the grandest stage of them all, Kane failed to find the scoresheet. The England international had the chance to put Spurs ahead, but couldn't convert thanks to the brilliance of Keylor Navas.

An average game at best, but he was on the same pitch as number one Galactico, Cristiano Ronaldo. Could this be the future of Los Blancos? Or could another England international be the future of Madrid?

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Ronaldo thinks Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford has a future at the Bernabeu.

The report claims that the 32-year-old has even asked Los Blancos to sign the 19-year-old as rumours swirl of a move for international teammate Harry Kane.

In many people's eyes, Marcus Rashford is the future of Manchester United. Born and bred in Wythenshawe, South Manchester, the striker has spent 11 successful years at the club after joining aged eight.

The England international recently signed a new contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2020, with an option to extend for a further year, but Ronaldo still wants his side to try and sign Rashford.

Back in August, Don Balon also claimed that Madrid's bitter rivals Barcelona will tempt Jose Mourinho's side with an audacious attempt to sign Rashford next summer.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to sign a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez and reportedly views the 19-year-old striker as a potential candidate.

But he won't come cheap. That report claims that Barca would have to pay €200 million euros for Rashford, who was handed his first-team debut for the Europa League game against Midtjylland last year.

Would Rashford be the right man for Real Madrid? Can you imagine him leaving Old Trafford for the Bernabeu?
