Renato Sanches Handed Transfer Lifeline By European Club

Renato Sanches is subject to interest despite his awful season on loan in the Premier League with Swansea City.

The Portuguese midfielder transferred to Swansea from Bayern Munich, but failed to make an impact with his side eventually relegated from the Premier League.

Sanches only played 12 league games last season, and, as a result, was omitted from Fernando Santos' Portugal World Cup squad.

Though while it appears Bayern Munich will give him another chance, he's also attracting interest from around Europe including newly-promoted Wolves.

Not to mention Napoli who are now under the management of ex-Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Per reports from Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato, Ancelotti is eyeing up Sanches ahead of a potential summer bid.

The veteran Italian gaffer will be seeking for reinforcements in the summer and is reportedly plotting a move for Sanches as part of his new additions.

He was eventually snapped up by Ancelotti amid suitors from Manchester United and Real Madrid, among others, in 2016.

Despite starring for Portugal at Euro 2016, he's been excluded from Santos' 23-man squad.

The 20-year-old won't be adding to his 13 international caps.

It's a far cry from the last major international tournament.

Portugal won the 2016 European Championships with Sanches winning the Golden Boy award.

Since then, he's earned just two Portugal caps including a two minute cameo which was over 14 months ago.

Will Sanches revive his professional career in Serie A under his ex-boss?
